Please utilize these course maps to familiarize yourself with the venue before race day. Be prepared, be aware, and be safe!
IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM RACE DIRECTOR:
There is ABSOLUTELY no practice swimming on the course PRIOR to race morning. Department of Conservation & Recreation Rules strictly prohibit swimming in any area that is outside the designated swimming buoys at the upper beach.
*****Please, please follow these guidelines and tell anyone you know doing the race the same important information.
Violators of the policy could put the entire race at jeopardy, as the Department of Conservation & Recreation is very strict on this. Violators of the policy will be subject to removal from the Title 9 Triathlon.
OVERVIEW
SWIM COURSE
DOWNLOAD HERE1/4 MILE - The swim takes place in the Hopkinton reservoir – clean, spacious, scenic and calm. Water temps are a comfortable 72-74. You’ll see the large orange buoys that clearly mark each turn and the flag-lined chutes that guide you back to the transition area!
(We recommend that beginner triathletes be comfortable swimming the full distance in training in less than 25 minutes time.)
BIKE COURSE
DOWNLOAD HERE10 MILES - The bike course begins on park roads, with downhill turns and rolling terrain through backroads of Hopkinton, Southborough, and Ashland. Plenty of volunteers & police will direct you along the route.
RUN COURSE
DOWNLOAD HERE3.1 MILES - The final portion finishes with a 5-k run, 100% inside the scenic Park. Crowd cheers echoing off the reservoir will help you as you make your way to the 300-yd. flagged chute to the huge arched finish line.
