Hopkinton State Park
8:30AM Start
Sprint Triathlon: 1/4 Mile Swim, 11.8 Mile Bike, 3.1 Mile Run
ALL net proceeds from the Triathlon are going to Rosie's Place, a volunteer only sanctuary
for poor and homeless women. Rosie's Place has been in operation since 1974 and has helped
thousands of women through difficult times by providing nutritious meals, housing, clothing,
transportation and more.
(See More on Rosie's Place below for additional info.).
The park is a great setting for a Triathlon, as we've held our previous races here with excellent
feedback. We've made the entire race set-up and course routes participant and fan friendly.
In addition to our "every race ingredients", some
additional features of the Title 9 Race include:
Tons of triathlete support, like Max 'Buddies'
Swim Buddy - in the water directing swimmers where to go and assisting those
who need help during the swim
Turn Buddy - at every bike & every run turn telling you where to go and
cheering you on
Transition Area Buddy - answering questions and providing helpful advice at
every transition area for everyone from newbies to veterans.
Inspiration Station - all supplies are provided to create a fun sign to help you notice
your supporters and get inspired at the same time!
Triclub Corner - members from triclubs will be there to celebrate your accomplishment and
provide training and Club information
More on Rosie’s Place
Rosie's Place has accomplished amazing things, both big and small. Each year:
- 74,000 nutritional meals are served
- 8,400 bags of groceries are distributed
- 3,000 women get help with clothing, housing, medical services, education, employment, legal advice and much more
- Over 500 women receive emergency & short-term housing
Rosie's Place relies solely on volunteers and the generous support of donations. They do
not accept funding from the city, state or federal governments or the United Way. For more info on

"In regards to race feedback, I have to say, I think this was a very well run, well organized
race. This is my second triathlon, and in comparison to my first, this one was a lot more organized-
from information ahead of time, a wonderful informative website, emails leading up to the race (the
race packet, maps, etc.), up to race day which was very well organized as well. I also found it
very motivational with the music and just the whole setup! I had a great experience with everything,
and want to thank all the organizers of this race for really making it a great time. The course was
well marked, set up, and safe. Thank you!"

Swim Course
The swim takes place in the Hopkinton reservoir - clean, spacious, scenic and calm.
Family and friends can watch too, given the ample room afforded by the transition
area and swim start. The water will be a comfortable 72-74’. You’ll enjoy the
HUGE white buoys that clearly mark each turn and the flag-lined chutes that guide
you back to the transition area!
Bike Course
The bike leg is an excellent course. It begins on park roads, with downhill turns
and rolling terrain through Southborough and Ashland. You’ll experience one
challenging hill to make it even more exciting, as you cross the start of the
famous marathon. You’ll finish with a fun downhill as you enter the park for the
final run leg.
Run Course
The final portion finishes with a 5-k run, 100% inside the scenic Park. Crowd
cheers echoing off the reservoir will help you as you make your way to the 300-yd.
flagged chute to the huge arched finish line.
